He has interviewed CEOs Richard Wagoner, Carlos Ghosn, Martin Winterkorn, Dieter Zetsche and Luca De Meo. Malan covered Sergio Marchionne's tenure at FCA for 15 years. He has been writing for Automotive News Europe since 2017, covering the Italian and Spanish car markets, the Italian business of the Stellantis group, other Italian carmakers such as Ferrari and Lamborghini, the Spanish brands Seat/Cupra and the European business of Asian carmakers such as the Hyundai/Kia group and Mazda.
