Raynal started his automotive writing career right out of Wayne State University, beginning at Automotive News in the late ’80s. He has worked at Crain Communications on and off ever since, serving in various editorial roles at both Automotive News and Autoweek, with short stints at The Detroit News and Campbell Ewald advertising. His work has been in several automotive and general publications, and he has edited books on the Chevrolet Corvette, Maserati and Subaru.
